In this episode, I’m joined by Matt Meyer, Chief Executive of Taylor Vinters, an international law firm for the innovation economy. Matt is also a strategic adviser and non exec director to businesses in diverse sectors from technology to aviation. Matt practised as a technology lawyer in the UK, New Zealand, and Singapore before pursuing a full time leadership and strategy career. He is passionate about the role business and business leaders can play in solving some of the world's toughest challenges and is an advocate for responsible business through his work with the Zebra Project including hosting the podcast series Zebra Talk. Matt was nominated as one of Europe's most innovative lawyers by the FT in 2019 and is a former recipient of the Managing Partners Forum award for best strategic leadership.
Matt will share with us the identity-led journey they have been on to clarify and strengthen their purpose. We discuss changes in the legal market that led to them fundamentally reinventing the way they work with clients. And he describes “disorganisation” as a practical alternative to the slow and inflexible top-down model of cascading a strategy through roles and objectives.
